KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The MIAA announced its third Women's Golf Athlete of the Week award for the 2021 Spring season. This week's honor went to Rogers State's Jess Green.
Green led the Hillcats to a team victory in the Hillcat Classic, as she won the individual medalist honors, battling wet and extremely windy conditions, by five shots. Green shot a 73 for the best round of the tournament on day one and then shot a 75 in round two.
Notable Performances
Rosie Klausner, Central Missouri
Klausner placed in a tie for sixth at the Emerald Coast Classic helping UCM to a 2nd-place team finish. UCM was the only MIAA competitor in the field. Klausner was +11, 224 on the par-71 course. She led UCM making par on 37 of 54 holes.
Kaylee Petersen, Northeastern State
Petersen turned in her sixth-straight top-10 finish and was tied for sixth at the Hargett Memorial Invitational carding a 156 (79-77). She had the second-lowest score among golfers who were not a member of a #4-ranked Limestone team.
