Jennies claim MIAA Indoor Track & Field team title

TOPEKA, Kan. - The University of Central Missouri captured the 2021 MIAA Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championship at the Washburn Indoor Athletic Facility in Topeka, Kansas. The Jennies scored 137 points and won three individual events.

Cynthia Togom won the 5,000m run in 17:40.58. Ashlan Burton captured the shot put title with a throw of 15.41m (50-6.75). In the triple jump, Kayla Goodwin won with a mark of 12.52m (41-1.00).

The high-point winner was Missouri Southern's Claire Luallen. She won the Pentathlon and the 60 meter hurdles. She placed third in the long jump and finished the weekend with 26 points.

In the team standings, Missouri Southern was second with 122 points and Pitt State was third with 103 points.
