Goodwin and Riddle earn MIAA Men's Track & Field weekly honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The MIAA has announced its fifth Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week awards. Central Missouri's Chris Goodwin was the Field Athlete of the Week while Missouri Southern's Ryan Riddle won his third Track Athlete of the Week award.

Goodwin won both the long and triple jumps at the Pitt State Classic, setting a pair of personal-bests in the process. He first won the long jump with a mark of 24-9, an NCAA provisional qualifier which is fourth in the nation and tops in the MIAA this season. Goodwin's triple jump of 49-3 is also tops in the league and seventh in D2 as well as an NCAA provo mark.

Riddle broke the MSSU mile record for the third-straight week this weekend at Washburn. He broke his own record and secured an NCAA Automatic Qualifying Mark by crossing the finish line in a time of 4:01.07. Riddle finished second, but was the top collegiate finisher in the event. His mark is third-best in D2 and tops in the MIAA this season.

Notable Performances
Connor Last - Nebraska-Kearney
Last was first in the long jump at Saturdays Ichabod Invitational with a mark of 7.30m (23-11.50) recording an NCAA provisional mark and breaking the Washburn record in the process. His mark was the 10th best in the nation this season.

Ryan Stanley - Fort Hays State
Stanley took home first place in the pole vault at Saturdays Ichabod Invitational, winning for the fifth time in five tries this season. He improved his season-best mark to 16-8.75, which is seventh on the national performance chart.

Seth Simonson - Nebraska-Kearney
Simonson placed fifth in the mile at Saturdays Ichabod Invite thanks to a career-low 4:08.81. The time vaults him up to third all-time in Loper lore while ranking him 25th nationally.

Ethan Lang - Fort Hays State
Lang placed third in the 600y run at the Ichabod Invitational Saturday, crossing the line in 1:12.07. He also ran the second leg of the 4x400m relay, helping the Tigers finish second with a time of 3:17.29.
