KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Feb. 2, 2021) - The MIAA announced its fourth wrestling athlete of the week award for the 2020-21 season. This week's winner was Nebraska-Kearney's Austin Eldredge who becomes the first Loper to claim the honor on the season.
Eldredge continues to be the surprise of the Loper lineup, now 6-0 at 184 pounds. All six wins have been bonus point efforts (four techs, one fall, one major) after a 16-0 tech fall vs. the Mules. The Cloud County C.C. transfer has outscored his competition 93-11 to date.

Baylor Smith - Newman
Smith went 1-0 pinning Fort Hays State's Josh Lenker just 26 seconds in the match in the lone action of the week.
John Ridle - Central Missouri
Ridle is still undefeated at 157 pounds with a 2-0 record last week and a 6-0 record on the season. Ridle recorded the fastest fall of the night in 1:19 over UNK's Talon Seitz. The next night, Ridle recorded four near falls before defeating FHSU's Josh Lenker in a 20-1 tech. fall in 1:52.
