2021-2022 MIAA Commissioner's Cup Update

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association released the current standings of the 2021-2022 MIAA Commissioner’s Cup, presented by McCownGordon Construction.
 
Through the completion of the 2021 fall sport seasons, Northwest Missouri currently leads with 12.4 points followed by Central Missouri and Pittsburg State in a tie for second with 11.5 points apiece. Nebraska Kearney is currently in fourth place with 10.1 points and Washburn rounds out the top five with nine points.
 
The Bearcats were crowned the 2021 MIAA Football Champions with a 9-1 regular season record. Northwest volleyball finished in a tie for second and Northwest women’s soccer finished MIAA competition in a tie for third. The Bearcat men’s and women’s cross country teams also finished in the league’s top five.
 
Central Missouri volleyball and women’s soccer both won 2021 MIAA regular-season titles while Jennies cross country finished second in the MIAA. The 2021 MIAA men’s cross country title went to Pittsburg State while the Gorillas women’s cross country team finished third in the MIAA.
 
Nebraska Kearney claimed the 2021 MIAA women’s cross country title. Loper football finished in a tie for second in the MIAA while UNK volleyball and men’s cross country both finished fourth in the league. Washburn football and volleyball each tied for second in the final 2021 league standings.
 
Below are the complete standings for the 2021-22 Commissioner’s Cup after the fall seasons. The standings are based on points earned from the regular season finish in each of the sports recognized by the MIAA divided by the number of those sports sponsored by each respective member institution.
