KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The MIAA has announced the Men's Golf Athlete of the Week award for the sixth week of the 2021 fall season. This week's recognition goes to Central Oklahoma's after defeating all MIAA opponents in the FHSU Tiger Classic earlier this week. 

Men's Golf Athlete of the Week – Kyle Hickey– Central Oklahoma
Kyle Hickey led the Bronchos with the individual title at the FHSU Tiger Classic that concluded on Tuesday. In his final round, Hickey birdied the par-four 17th hole and then made a tough up-and-down par save on the par-three 18th to finish with a 69, one stroke under par. He ended the 54-hole tournament with a three-over 213 (71, 73, 69) total to clip Rogers State's Luke Palmowski by one shot in the medalist race. The Bronchos finished third overall as a team.

Luke Palmowski led RSU with a second place finish after shooting 214 (+4, 70, 77, 67) for the tournament. He had the low round of the day and the tournament with a 67 (-3) in the final round, racking up six birdies and an eagle in the round
