INDIANAPOLIS (October 29, 2020) - The NCAA announced that Pittsburg State Athletic Director, Jim Johnson, has been elected as the chair of the Division II Management Council. Johnson will serve a one-term in the role after serving as the vice-chair for the 2019-2020 academic year.

He concurrently is serving on the Division II Planning and Finance Committee and the Championships Committee. Johnson is also a part of the MIAA’s COVID-19 Task Force and served as the President of D2 Athletic Directors Association for the 2018-2019 academic year. In June, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) named him one of its four NCAA Division II Under Armour Athletics Director of the Year.

Johnson’s election as Chair of the Management Council was approved at the Division II President’s Council on October 28.
