LINCOLN, Neb. - Top-seeded and No. 7 Northeastern State won the 2018 MIAA Women’s Tennis Championship at the Dillon Tennis Center. The Riverhawks defeated second-seeded and No. 8 Central Oklahoma 5-2 to claim the MIAA automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament.

Northeastern State opened the match with a 2-1 lead after wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Chantal Nosievici claimed the first singles match in straight sets at No. 4 singles. NSU picked up their fourth win of the match when Tatjana Stoll won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. The Bronchos picked up a win from Kirtana Bhat in No. 3 singles in straight sets. Northeastern State clinched the match at No. 5 singles 6-2, 7-5. Central Oklahoma finishes the season at 18-3.
