Magnolia, Ark. – Third seeded Missouri Western got just one hit as they fell 6-0 to second seeded Southern Arkansas.
 
SAU got two home runs as part of a five run sixth inning after scoring one in the first to put the game out of reach. Paige Shifflett had the lone hit for the Griffons and Shelbie Atwell reached base once via a walk.  
 
Janie Smith threw six innings allowing nine hits and five earned runs in the loss.
 
MWSU will now await the winner of Minnesota-Duluth and Central Oklahoma in the 5:30 p.m. game tonight from Dawson Field in Magnolia, Ark.
