Pittsburg, Kan. – Emporia State led by as much as 13 points in the first half, but had to hold on for a 66-62 victory over Winona State in the semifinals of the central regional.
For the Lady Hornets Sandra Ngoie led the way with 17 points also pulling down nine rebounds. Kelsey Barnwell had 13 points while Kelly Moten finished with a double-double scoring 11 points and dishing out 10 assists. On the glass Kathryn Flott had a game high 10 boards.
ESU will face the winner of Pittsburg State and Arkansas Tech at 7 p.m. on March 14 from Pittsburg, Kan. in the round of 16.
