Kansas City, Mo. – Second seeded Pittsburg State held Sioux Falls to just .255 shooting as they cruised to a 79-39 victory in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Central Regional.
 
For the Gorillas Cathy Brugman led the way scoring 14 points and Kyle Gafford finished with 13 points and seven boards. Brenlee McPherson came off the bench and scored 10 points and Madison Northcutt pulled down nine boards.
 
PSU will face the winner of the Missouri Western and Arkansas Tech at 7:30 p.m. on March 12 from John Lance Arena in Pittsburg, Kan.
