Oklahoma City, Okla. – Central Missouri fell behind early and could not come back in a 4-1 loss to Adelphi in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Softball National Championship.
 
Adelphi jumped on the board early scoring two runs in the top of the first before adding single tallies in the third and fifth innings. The Jennies would plate their loan run when Carlie Rose homered in the bottom of the seventh inning.
 
Central Missouri will now face California (Pa.) in an elimination game on May 23 at 2:30 p.m. from ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Okla.
