Hays, Kan. – Top seeded Fort Hays State came from behind to earn a 74-57 victory over eighth seeded Minnesota State in the first round of the NCAA Division II Central Regional.
 
FHSU trailed by as much as 13 points in the first half, but used a 12-0 run in the second to take the lead themselves. They racked up 18 points off of turnovers as they close out the game shooting .403 from the field.
 
For the Tigers Chelsea Mason led the way scoring 21 points while on the glass Keriann Shaw pulled down nine rebounds. Kate Lehman had 12 points and eight rebounds while Nikola Kacperska finished with five assists.
 
FHSU will face either fourth seed Wayne State or fifth seed Harding at 7:30 p.m. on March 14 from Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays, Kan.
