UCM VOLLEYBALL ENDS SEASON AT NCAA TOURNAMENT

St. Paul, Minn. – Seventh seeded Wayne State hit .173 as they earned a 3-1 win over second seeded Central Missouri in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Volleyball Tournament. UCM out dug Wayne State 123-111, but could not overcome nine blocks in the 20-25, 19-25, 25-21 and 18-25 loss.
 
For the Jennies Carly Sojka finished with a double-double going for 12 kills and adding 17 digs. Cheyanne Lyons had a team best 13 kills while Kasey Hohlen and Maddie Jones each added 12 kills on the afternoon. Kourtney Thompson had a double-double with 45 assists and 20 digs while Annie Reilly added 37 assists. Kylie Hohlen finished with 23 digs and Shelby Winkelmann added  21 digs.

Central Missouri finishes the season with a 30-5 record and went 15-3 in league play before winning the MIAA post-season tournament.
