PSU, UCO and NWMSU all unbeaten after three weeks

Kansas City, Mo. – Three teams remain undefeated with three weeks are in the books in MIAA football.
 
#1 Northwest Missouri 37, Central Missouri 15
Northwest Missouri racked up 486 yards of total offense while holding Central Missouri to just 195 yards of total offense. NWMSU was strong against the run as UCM finished with just one net yard on the ground.
 
For the Bearcats Brady Bolles was 18 of 30 for 285 yards and a touchdown. On the ground Robert Burton carried the ball for 60 yards and two scores while Bolles added a rushing touchdown. On defense Eric Reimer had a team leading eight tackles while Matt Longacre and Collin Bevins had 2.5 sacks each.
 
For the Mules Hayden Hawk was 19 of 32 for 183 yards and one touchdown through the air also rushing for a touchdown. Justus McMullen caught a 15-yard pass for a touchdown finishing with 46 yards total receiving. On defense Sam Smith and Alex Perlin each had nine tackles on the afternoon.
 
Central Oklahoma 24, Emporia State 14
Central Oklahoma took advantage of four Emporia State turnovers to remain unbeaten after week three.  ESU outgained UCO with 385 yards to 319 yards on the afternoon.
 
For the Bronchos Chas Stallard was 16 of 29 for 158 yards and a touchdown. Jake Gandara carried the ball 19 times for 97 yards and a touchdown as Josh Crockett hauled in a touchdown catch. On defense Malcolm Howard had a team leading nine tackles and Levonte Douglas returned a fumble 99-yards for a touchdown. 
 
For the Hornets Brent Wilson was 28 of 51 for 255 yards and a touchdown. Austin Willis caught seven passes for 125 yards and one touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball Deshawn Dinwiddie had 16 tackles and Lyndell Johnson returned a punt 69 yards for a touchdown.
 
Missouri Southern 34, Nebraska-Kearney 17.
Missouri Southern amassed 430 yards of total offense, 364 of which came on the ground as they picked up a win at Nebraska-Kearney. The MSSU defense held the UNK offense to just 215 yards on 55 plays.
 
For the Lions Giresse Forchu carried the ball 25 times for 110 yards and a touchdown. Scott Lathrop rushed the ball for 64 yards and passed the ball for 52 yards and a touchdown. On defense Johnquavious McBride and Gaige Washington led the way with seven tackles each.
 
For the Lopers Bronson Marsh was 15 of 27 for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Romero Cotton and Cougar Williams each hauled in a touchdown catch on the afternoon. On defense Tyke Kozeal led the way with 19 tackles and Josh Papa made 16 stops.
 
#8 Pittsburg State 42, Washburn 0
#8 Pittsburg State racked up 552 yards of total offense as they picked up a victory on the road at Washburn. The PSU defense recorded their second shutout of the season.
 
For the Gorillas Anthony Abenoja was 19 of 33 for 330 yards and four touchdowns. Jeff Seybold finished with 122 rushing yards and a score while Marquise Cushon caught seven passes for 119 yards and one touchdown. On defense Keeston Terry and Spencer Brown each had six tackles and Skylarr Gatson returned an interception for a touchdown.
 
For the Ichabods Mitch Buhler was 13 of 29 for 149 yards on the afternoon. DeJaun Beard caught five passes for 62 yards. On the defensive side of the ball Calvin Kenney had 11 tackles and Shay Wooten added eight stops.
 
Missouri Western 30, Northeastern State 0
Missouri Western picked off four Northeastern State passes as they picked up a victory on their home field. MWSU finished with 322 yards in the game with 198 coming on the ground.
 
For the Griffons Raphael Spencer carried the ball 19 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Skyler Windmiller passed for 64 yards and TJ LaFaver had 60 yards through the air. On defense Michael Jordan picked off two passes and Marc Harrison picked off a pass and returned it 100-yards for a touchdown.
 
For the RiverHawks Kevin Pantastico was 15 of 34 for 185 yards through the air. Garrett Powell caught four passes for 65 yards and Derrick Moore rushed for 50 yards. On the defensive side of the ball Steffon Herd had nine tackles on the afternoon.  
 
Fort Hays State 20, Lindenwood 7
Fort Hays State took advantage of four Lindenwood turnovers as they picked up a victory at home. The game was close offensively as FHSU finished with 285 total yards and LWU had 283 total yards in the game.
 
For the Tigers Edward Smith rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown and Kenneth Iheme rushed for 60 yards and a score. Treveon Albert was 11 for 27 for 84 yards through the air. On defense Alex Schmidtberger had 12 tackles while Rashad Dunningan and Justin McPhail picked off passes.
 
For the Lions Dillon Miller was 31 of 55 for 263 yards and one touchdown though the air. Jaron Alexander led the way with 59 yards receiving and Alex Robinson hauled in a touchdown catch. On the defensive side of the ball Connor Harris had 11 tackles and Wesley Thomas made eight stops.
