Mankato, Minn. – Emporia State forced extra innings with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but fell short in a 7-5 loss to Central Oklahoma in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Central Regional.
 
For the Bronchos Tori Collet went five for five with five runs driven in also scoring a run. Kalynn Schrock was two for four and scored two runs while Ally Dziadula also added an RBI. For the Hornets Kaitlyn Caston was two for five with four runs driven in also scoring two runs on the afternoon while adding a home run.
 
Kalynn Schrock worked all nine innings allowing five earned runs and striking out four.

UCO will face Southeastern Oklahoma State on May 10 at 11 a.m. and Emporia State will face Minnesota St.-Mankato at 1:30 p.m.
