Overland Park, Kan. – Emporia State earned the chance to make it to Championship Saturday with a 2-0 win over Lindenwood.

Emporia State got ten hits and scratched across two runs in the third inning and made them hold up. Kaitlyn Caston was two for three with a run scored and Andrea Piezuch and Tricia Vogel each drove in a run. In the circle Caston worked seven strong inning scattering six hits and striking out three.

The Hornets will now await the loser of Missouri Western and Northeastern State at 5 p.m. tonight with a spot in the MIAA Championship game on the line.
