Kansas City, Mo. – Emporia State will play for the Central Regional championship and a shot at the super regionals tomorrow in Mankato, Minn. Emporia State advances to face Southeastern Oklahoma State needing to win two to win the regional championship with a first pitch of 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 11.

Southeastern Oklahoma State 5, Central Oklahoma 4
Central Oklahoma erased most of a five run deficit, but could not complete the comeback in a 5-4 loss to Southeastern Oklahoma State. The Bronchos outhit the Savage Storm, but will now have to make their way back through the loser’s bracket.
 
Brooke Zukerman was two for four at the plate and drove in two runs while also scoring two. Ally Dziadula and Tori Collet also added runs batted in during the game.
 
Emporia State 3, Minnesota State 2
Emporia State got two runs in the top of the seventh and then held on for a 3-2 victory over host Minnesota State. The Hornets stayed alive using eight hits and playing error free defense.
 
At the plate for the Hornets Andrea Piezuch hit a two run home run in the top of the seventh. Kaitlyn Caston and Jacie Stephens scored runs while Madison Rich added a run driven in.
 
In the circle Caston allowed just seven hits and struck out one to pick up the win.
 
Emporia State 13, Central Oklahoma 2
Emporia State exploded for eight runs in the second inning as the run-ruled Central Oklahoma to stay alive in the NCAA Division II Central Regional. The Hornets had 15 hits and overcome four errors to advance to the regional championship game.
 
For ESU at the plate Jessica Gragg was two for three with a home run, three runs scored and four runs driven in. Kaitlyn Caston went two for three with two runs scored and two driven in and a home run. Madison Rich scored two runs and also drove in two runs as did Jacie Stevens. Andrea Piezuch was a perfect four for four with two runs scored and two driven in.
 
For the Bronchos at the plate Kaylee Brunson scored a run and Ally Dziadula was two for three with an RBI. In the circle for ESU Caston pitched all five allowing just four hits to earn her second win of the day.

Missouri Western 5, Southern Arkansas 0
Missouri Western blanked Southern Arkansas in a 5-0 victory to stay alive in the NCAA Central Regional. The Griffons got six hits and took advantage of two SAU errors to get the win.
 
Tiffany Gillaspy hit a home run and drove in three runs going two for three on the afternoon. Sydney Washington scored a run and Michelle Stevenson and Morgan Rathmann each drove in runs.

Jackie Bishop struck out six and allowed just four hits to earn the victory.
 
Winona State 5, Missouri Western 4
Winona State scored two in the bottom of the sixth inning eliminated Missouri Western with a 5-4 win on their home field. The Griffons racked up 11 hits, but could not complete a seventh inning comeback.
 
At the plate Tiffany Gillaspy was two for four with a run scored and a run driven in. Kat Steponovich also added an RBI and Tyalor Anding scored a run. Morgan Rathmann had the best night at the plate going three for three with a run scored.
 
Jackie Bishop struck out four allowing just five hits in the loss.
