Kansas City, Mo. – TJ White of Central Missouri made a lay-up with just one second remaining to give his team a 71-69 victory over Metro State. The Mules held the #1 team in the country to just .322 shooting as they earned a spot in the NCAA Division II National Championship game.

Metro State got a shot off as time expired, but it did not fall. UCM shot .469 on the night making six three-pointers and out rebounded the Roadrunners to pick up the win.

For the Mules Charles Hammork had a double-double scoring 14 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Daylen Robinson had 13 points and two assists, none bigger than a dish underneath the basket to White with less than two seconds remaining.

Dillon Deck added 12 points and five boards and White finished with 11 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Epps had eight points and Brennen Hughes added six points and two blocked shots.

Central Missouri will face the winner of the other national semi final between West Liberty and South Carolina Aiken at 2 p.m. on March 29 from Evansville, Ind.
