Kansas City, Mo. -- Central Oklahoma put up nine runs in the first inning to advance to the NCAA Division II Central Region Championship in Hays, Kan. After putting up nine the Bronchos held on for an 11-3 victory against host Fort Hays State.

For the Bronchos Kacie Edwards was one for two with two runs driven in. Tori Collet went three for three with a home runs, two runs scored and two driven in. Haley Hudson also added two RBI while Ally Dziadula scored two runs. In the circle Kalynn Schrock went five inning striking out seven to get the win.

For the Tigers Maddie Holub had the teams lone RBI. Jenna Long was one for one and scored two runs while Biance Adame stole two bases.

Central Oklahoma moves into Sunday's championship game scheduled for 1 p.m. Fort Hays State will await the winner of an elimination game between Emporia State and Minot State tonight at 6 p.m.
