Kansas City, Mo. -- Fort Hays State did not take their first lead until the bottom of the sixth, but escaped with a 5-3 win over Emporia State in the Central Regional in Hays, Kan.
Emporia State led in the second and took another lead in the fifth, but FHSU got two in the sixth to take the lead for good.

For the Tigers Danie Brinkmann was two for two with two runs driven in. Maddie Holub was two for three with two runs scored. Paxton Duran went two for two and drove in two runs. In the circle Holub went seven striking out five to win the game.

Fort Hays State will face Central Oklahoma tomorrow at 1 p.m. Emporia State will face Minot State in an elimination game at 3:30 p.m.
