Kansas City, Mo. – Northwest Missouri held Grand Valley under 300 yards of total offense as they picked up a 27-13 victory in the NCAA Division II Football National Semi-finals. The Bearcats got 521 yards of their own and scored 17 points in the second half as they advance to the National Championship game.
For NWMSU Trevor Adams was 15 of 21 for 284 yards and two touchdowns. Reuben Thomas caught seven passes for 143 yards and two scores as Brady Bolles added a touchdown on the ground. Billy Creason rushed for 72 yards and Bryce Young added 83 yards in reception.
On defense Matt Longacre had seven total tackles and had three sacks and five total tackles for a loss. Travis Manning and Bryce Enyard each added six tackles and Kevin Arnold recovered a fumble forced by Longacre.
The Bearcats advance to face Lenoir-Rhyne who defeated West Chester 42-14 in the other semi-final. The two teams will face off on Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. from Braly Municipal Stadium in Florence, Ala.
