Kansas City, Mo. – Top seeded Northwest Missouri held fourth seed Minnesota Duluth scoreless for three quarters as they picked up a 45-21 victory. The Bearcats, who now advance to the Super Region Three championship game, had 425 yards of total offense and overcame three interceptions to pick up the victory.
For NWMSU Trevor Adams was 16 of 24 for 277 yards and four touchdowns. Reuben Thomas caught eight passes for 154 yards and a score and Clint Utter hauled in two touchdown passes. Brady Bolles rushed for two touchdowns on the day as well. On defense Eric Reimer and DJ Gnader each had nine tackles and Alex Taylor picked off a pass.
The Bearcats will face St. Cloud State in the Super Region Three Championship Game on Dec. 7 at 12 noon from Maryville, Mo.
