Kansas City, Mo. – Washburn played Fort Valley State in the lone Thursday night game on the week seven schedule.

#13 Washburn held Fort Valley State to just 141 yards of total offense as they picked up a win outside of league play. Fort Valley has just two drives over 20 yards on the night as WU moved to 7-0 on the season.

For the Ichabods Mitch Buhler was 13 of 25 for 190 yards and two touchdowns. Verson Moore rushed for 49 yards and a score and Cody Heiman added two scores on the ground. Matt Kobbeman and Mark Kolmer each caught touchdown passes in the WU effort. Defensively Bryce Atagi led the way with eight tackles and an interception while Willie Williams also picked off a pass.
