Kim Anderson, Basketball Coach
Central Missouri, 2002-14
Anderson led Central Missouri to the 2014 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship in addition to MIAA Regular Season and NCAA-II Central Region crowns and was named the NABC Division II National Coach of the Year. In 12 seasons at UCM, Anderson compiled a 274-95 (.743) record and became the winningest coach in Mules Basketball history. He led the Mules to six MIAA Regular Season Championships, including each of his final three seasons, four MIAA Tournament Titles, three Final Fours and last year’s National Championship. Over his final 11 seasons, no school in the MIAA won more games than Central Missouri. The Mules qualified for every MIAA Tournament during his 12 seasons and made seven trips to the NCAA-II National Tournament. He was a two-time MIAA Coach of the Year. His teams had three 30-win seasons, the only three in program history. They won 20 or more games seven times and his six MIAA championships are the most of any coach in school history.
