Shelley (Foster) Duffey, Women's Basketball Athlete

Foster scored 2,144 points in her career, a total that remained as the second most in school history and in the MIAA through the 2006-07 season. Her 736 rebounds stood as fifth most in school history at the end of her career. In 1992-93, her sophomore year, Foster scored 534 points to average 16.7 per game and earn Kodak All-America honors. The next year she was named D-II Bulletin honorable mention All-America and after her senior year she earned third team CoSIDA All-America honors. Foster was a three-time first team all-MIAA pick and was named the league's MVP her sophomore year. She was also selected as a member of the 10-person, 25th anniversary all-MIAA Tournament team finishing as the MIAA Tournament's all-time scoring leader totaling 213 points averaging 19.4 ppg leading WU to titles in two of three trips to the tournament championship game. She also excelled in the classroom as she earned all-MIAA academic honors twice and was named Kansas' NCAA Woman of the Year in 1995.
