Brian Moorman

Pittsburg State (1995-99)
Moorman was a standout on the track, the football field, and in the classroom. He was the national champion in the 400-meter hurdles three consecutive years (1997, 98, 99), and was a six-time All-American spread throughout the 55-meter hurdles, 110-meter hurdles and 4x400-meter relay.
Moorman was also an eight-time MIAA individual event champion in track & field. He was a four-time All American punter for the Gorillas' football team (1995, 96, 97, 98), including first-team honors in 1997. He led the MIAA in punting all four seasons (1995-98), ranked fourth in Division II in punting in 1995 and 96, led DII in 1997, and ranked second in DII in 1998. He holds MIAA season (45.95 yards per punt in 1997) and career (43.97 yards per punt) records.
Moorman was inducted into the PSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009. He was named to the NFL's All-Decade Team for the 2000s, and was a two-time Pro Bowl punter (2006-07) for the Buffalo Bills. He was a six-time first-team Academic All-America selection, three times in football (1996-98) and three in track & field (1997-99). Moorman was a back-to-back Ken B. Jones Award winner as the conference male student-athlete of the year, in 1998 and 1999. He was the 1999 NCAA Today's Top VIII Award winner.
He was the recipient of the 2005 Pro Football Weekly Arthur S. Arkush Humanitarian of the Year Award, and was the winner of the Buffalo Bills Walter Payton Man of the Year award in both 2003 and 2008. He is the Founder/President of the Brian Moorman PUNT Foundation, a foundation that provides children affected by cancer and their families with support and resources.
