Missouri Southern Softball
1992 NCAA National Champions

The 1992 Lions, in just their third year in NCAA D-II, finished with a school best record of 50-7. That mark included a perfect 10-0 record in MIAA play as well as a 11 game winning streak that cumulated in the National Championship.

The 92 edition saw pitcher Andrea Clarke appear in, start, and finish 32 games on the season. Clarke finished with a school single season record of 17 shutouts, including a 1-0 victory over Cal State-East Bay (formerly Cal-State Hayward) in the Championship game.

The National Champions still sit atop most of the single season records in the Southern history books as Kristy Konkol shares the lead for runs scored in a season at 47, Katrina Marshall is second in hits with 76; fifth in doubles with 17; and is tops in RBIs with 49 while Renee Weih (pronounced WHY) held the mark for triples with nine until 1996.
