In 1999, Doubrava was named the USTFCCCA Division II Women’s Track Athlete of the Year and the CoSIDA Academic All-America of the Year. The Scott City, Kansas, native set six other ESU school records, in the 400 meters (indoors), triple jump (indoors and outdoors), 800 meters (outdoors), 100 meter hurdles (outdoors), and long jump (outdoors). She won an MIAA-record 18 conference championships. She won five event championships at the 1999 MIAA Outdoor Championships, scoring an individual record 66 points.
