Bill Lowe
Director of Football Officiating
MIAA (1990-2007)

Bill Lowe was dedicated to contributing to athletics through officiating for nearly 40 years. A long time high school official, Bill officiated basketball and football games in the MIAA for more than 18 years.

In addition, he officiated football and basketball at the Division I level for many years, working in the Missouri Valley Conference, the Mid-Continent Conference and the Big Eight Conference. Prior to joining the MIAA administrative staff, Bill served as supervisor of basketball officials for the NAIA District 16 and for over a decade he was an interpreter of basketball rules for the Missouri High School Activities association.

Bill Lowe became Director of Football Officiating for the MIAA in 1990 and he served with distinction in that capacity until 2007. Under his leadership, the MIAA officiating program grew in quality and stature, with many MIAA crews being selected to work numerous post-season NCAA contests and a number of MIAA official’s moving to the ranks of Division I.
