Christie (Allen) Logue

Pittsburg State (1989-93)

Allen finished her decorated career as an eight-time NCAA Division II All-American in the sports of cross country and track & field at Pitt State. She captured NCAA Division II cross country national championships in 1991 and 1992.

In track & field, she captured national titles in the 1,500 meters (indoors) and the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters (outdoors) in 1992, and she claimed national titles in the 3,000 meters (indoors) and the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters (outdoors) in 1993.

Additionally, she captured 14 MIAA individual event titles during her career (two cross country, 12 track & field) and she set (and still holds) Pitt State records in the 1,500 meters, 3,000 meters, 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters racing disciplines.

Allen also was named the NCAA Division II Woman Athlete of the Year in 1993, as well as an NCAA Today’s Top VI Award winner following her collegiate career. She was a two-time first-team GTE Academic All-America® selection (1992-93), and was named the 1993 GTE Academic All-America® of the Year for Women’s At-Large Sports. Allen was inducted into the Pitt State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003.
