Greisen finished his career as a two-time NCAA Division II All-American quarterback. He was a consensus first-team All-American in 1998, leading Northwest to an unblemished 15-0 record and the NCAA-II national championship.

He compiled a 27-1 record as a starting quarterback, and set both the MIAA career passing and total offense records as well as the MIAA single season touchdown mark in 1998. In addition to earning All-American honors, Greisen was a two-time All-MIAA First Team selection (1997 and 1998).

Following graduation, he enjoyed a professional career in the NFL and the Arena Football League. He was inducted into the NWMSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2007. Additionally, he twice earned MIAA All-Academic Team honors in 1997 and 1998.
