1963 NCAA National Champions

The 1963 Bears golf team became the first-ever NCAA College Division national champions. The Bears hosted the meet at Grandview Golf Course in Springfield and the MIAA champions made history with the first-ever small-school title in men's golf. Team members were Bill Lucas, Larry Gooch, John Henage, Dick Baxter and Bruce Hollowell. The Bears coach was A.J. McDonald.
