Andy Vogelsberg is a four-time NCAA Division II All-American and three-time MIAA Champion in the javelin throw. He was crowned the NCAA Division II National Champion in the javelin at the 2006 Outdoor National Championships with a school record throw of 245-03 – a distance that ranks fourth all-time in NCAA Division II history at the time. Vogelsberg also set a then-MIAA Championships record in the javelin with a throw of 232’-10” as a senior at the Association’s 2007 outdoor championships. In his career, Vogelsberg placed third in the nation in the javelin throw in 2004 and finished fourth nationally in 2005 and 2007. He was also a three-time member on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. Vogelsberg was inducted into the Emporia State Hall of Fame in 2017.
