Ryley Egger joined the MIAA conference office staff in May 2018 and was promoted to Assistant Commissioner in July 2020. Egger works with the Communication Directors at each member institution's campus along with overseeing the MIAA Network. He also coordinates the Association's social media platforms which is one of the fastest growing in NCAA Division II.
Before moving to the conference office, Egger spent two years as a Media Relations Graduate Assistant at Missouri Western and was the primary sport contact for baseball, men’s and women’s golf, women’s tennis and volleyball. He was also a secondary contact for men’s and women’s basketball and assisted the director of media relations with the office’s day-to-day operations.
His time in St. Joseph included publicizing five NCAA regional qualifying teams and the 2017 MIAA Volleyball regular season co-champions. Along with his

media relations responsibilities, Egger volunteered on the 2018 MIAA Basketball Championship Committee and was selected to participate in the 2018 NCAA Emerging Leadership Seminar in Indianapolis.
Prior to MWSU, Egger spent a year as an external relations intern at the University of Nebraska Kearney. At UNK, his primary responsibilities were in the areas of social media, marketing and event promotions.
Egger graduated with his master’s degree in sport and recreation management in May 2018 from Missouri Western. He is a 2015 graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska, with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and a minor in communication and coaching.
As an undergraduate, Egger was a football student-athlete and three-time scholar-athlete in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). He had internships with the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA), Lincoln Saltdogs of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball and Nebraska Wesleyan sports information department. Egger is a native of Wood River, Nebraska.
