MIAA Places Three in First Women's Rankings
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Emporia State debuts at No. 2, and Washburn is ranked No. 4 in this week's South Central regional rankings, released Wednesday by the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee.
This is the first regional rankings release of the 2009-10 season. The top 10 teams in each region are listed below for each of the eight regions. The regional rankings will be released every Wednesday from now on through March 3, 2010. Selections will be Sunday, March 7.
Fort Hays State is ranked No. 7 in the South Central region,
making it three MIAA schools in the Top 10.
