Tiffany Greens to Host MIAA Golf Championships
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Tiffany Greens Golf Club in Kansas City will play host to the 2010 MIAA Men's and Women's Golf Championships April 19-20, the conference office announced Wednesday.
The men's championship will be a 54-hole event (36 holes Monday, 18 Tuesday), while the women will play 36 holes (18 each day).
Tiffany Greens is a par-72, 6,977-yard championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones II, LLC. The venue has been ranked as one of the top 10 courses in Missouri by Golf Digest and hosted the Senior PGA Tour TD Waterhouse Championship from 1999-2002.
The 2010 MIAA Golf Championships will be open to the public and will be free of charge. More info about the event will be posted on the MIAA Titlefest Championships page in the near future.
Washburn is the defending men's tournament champion, while Central Missouri claimed the overall MIAA Men's Championship in 2009. Nebraska-Omaha won the inaugural MIAA Women's Championship last season.
Central Missouri sits atop the 2009-10 MIAA men's golf standings through two of four events with 16 points, three ahead of Missouri Southern and Washburn.
