Top seeded Northeastern State will face off with third seed Lindenwood in the MIAA Men’s Soccer Championship.
The RiverHawks are led by Jordan Schmoker who has nine goals, including one in the semifinal, and 13 assists on the year. Juan Peralta has seven goals and four assists while Ricardo Palomino has four goals and six assists. Justin Todd also scored in the semifinal and has six goals and one assist while Chris Mendez has three goals and four assist. Between the pipes Jackson Biles has a 0.75 goals against average with 56 saves and eight shutouts.
The Lions are led by Alfredo Paez who had a goal and an assist in the semifinal and now has seven goals and two assists on the year. Michell Hunt has six goals and two assists and Andre Hayne has five goals on the year. Steven Hutchison, who dished an assists against FHSU, has two goals and five assists. In goal Andrew Hamerlinck has a 1.28 goals against average with 49 saves and five shutouts, including one already in the tournament.
The two teams will face off at 11 a.m. on Nov. 8 from the College Boulevard Activities Complex in Olathe, Kan.
