Kansas City, Mo. -- Second seeded Washburn and third seeded Central Missouri will square off in the semi-final round of the MIAA Volleyball Tournament.

The two teams did meet once earlier this season in a match that was played in Warrensburg, Mo. and won 3-2 by Washburn. The match was decided 25-23, 19-25, 25-18, 27-29 and 18-16 in a tight match on the road for the Lady Blues. Jessica Fey hit a match high .436 with 29 kills on the night. Jessica Kopp added 15 kills hitting .344 and Hillary Hughes had 12 kills and 14 digs. Abby Wittman also had a double-double with 56 assists and 17 digs in the match. Courtney Churchman had 26 digs and Kelsey Lewis added 23 on the evening. For the Jennies Carly Sojka had a double-double with 17 kills and 18 digs as did Aubri Renshaw with 15 kills and 18 digs. Julia Bates added a double-double of her own with 53 assists and 12 digs. Annie Reilly added 21 digs and Mikalle Monachina added 15 digs.

Overall on the season for WU Jessica Fey is hitting a team best .362 while averaging 3.35 kills per set. Jessica Kopp is averaging 2.78 kills per set and Hillary Hughes is averaging 2.70 kills per set. Abby Wittman leads the team averaging 9.45 assists per set and Courtney Churchman is averaging 3.84 digs per set. On the year for UCM Bradye Peniston is hitting .335 and averaging 3.27 kills per set. Carly Sojka is averaging 2.99 kills per set and Taylor Goodness 2.33 kills per set. Julia Bates is averaging a league second-best 10.73 assists per set and Annie Reilly averages 4.96 digs per set.

The match is set for a 5 p.m. first serve on Nov. 16 from the Health and Sports Center in Kearney, Neb.
