MIAA Internship Position – Spring 2027
The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association internship program is designed to equip individuals desiring to enter the field of intercollegiate athletics with valuable skills related to various areas of sports management and athletics administration (marketing, promotions, sports media, championships, etc.). The ideal candidate would have basic computer skills (familiarity with web content management and Adobe Creative Suite are preferred), effective verbal communication and writing skills, the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, and experience in event management or game day operations.
A minimum commitment of working 3-4 days per week (9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday) along with the ability to travel, work select nights and weekends is preferred. The MIAA is flexible in accommodating the schedule of currently enrolled college students. Interns will be expected to work all MIAA events, including, but not limited to the MIAA Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, governance meetings and the annual awards celebration.
The MIAA is seeking to fill one position. The anticipated start date for this position is January, 2027 and will continue through June, 2027. This position will be provided a stipend of $750 per month, parking expenses, and work-related travel expenses.
