Central Missouri Leads Standings After Fall Championships

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The first edition of the 2019-2020 MIAA Commissioner’s Cup presented by McCown Gordon Construction has been announced by the MIAA. After the completion of six fall sports, Central Missouri sits atop of the standings.

UCM earned 66 points from the fall sports championships for an average of 13.2 points. The Mules earned a share of the Association’s football regular-season title as the Jennies won the women’s soccer regular-season championship and were runners-up in women’s cross country. 

Northwest Missouri was second in standings with an average of 10.2 points. A football co-championship and a runner-up finish in men’s cross country paced the Bearcats in the fall. Third-place belongs to Fort Hays State with an average of 10.0 points, the Tigers fall was highlighted by winning the MIAA/GAC men’s soccer title. 

Defending Commissioner’s Cup Champions, Pittsburg State, was fourth with an average of 9.7 points and Nebraska Kearney rounded out the top-five with an average of 9.5 points. The Gorillas claimed women’s cross country championship as the Lopers won the volleyball championship. 

Below are the complete standings for the 2019-2020 Commissioner’s Cup after the fall season. The standings are based on points earned for each of the sports recognized by the MIAA divided by the number of those sports sponsored by each respective full member institution.
