KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The MIAA announced the official bracket for the 2019 MIAA Volleyball Championship at Hy-Vee Arena in Kansas City. Missouri. The official bracket is available here, ticket information and the championship schedule is available at the Championship Central page.

The Association’s regular-season champion, Nebraska Kearney (30-0), earned the top seed after it completed an undefeated conference season. The Lopers won their fourth consecutive regular-season title and will try to win their fourth straight tournament title as well. UNK will play eighth-seeded Missouri Southern (13-17) on Thursday, November 21 at 5 p.m. The Lions enter the postseason with their most regular-season wins and conference wins since 2010. 

Washburn (26-2) will be the second seed in the tournament field and will play seventh-seeded Pittsburg State (14-15) at 12 p.m. on Thursday, November 21. The Ichabods have posted back-to-back season with 26 or more wins in the regular season. After narrowly missing out on the MIAA Championship on a tiebreaker a season ago, the Gorillas come to Kansas City winning two of their last three matches.

The third seed belongs to Central Missouri (21-8). The Jennies won at least 14 conference matches for the fourth straight season. UCM will play sixth-seeded Central Oklahoma (18-12) on Thursday, November 21 at 2:30 p.m. The Bronchos have made the MIAA postseason each season since joining the Association in 2012. 

The final match-up of the quarterfinals pairs rivals Northwest Missouri (20-8) and Missouri Western (17-12) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November, 21. The Bearcats will be the fourth seed and have won 20 matches for the third time in four seasons. MWSU is the fifth seed and will try to advance to the championship match for the second time since 2017.
