Central Oklahoma Tabbed First In 2019 Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches Poll

Bronchos Earn 79 Points, Seven First-Place Votes For Top Spot

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The MIAA has announced its 2019 Preseason Women’s Tennis Coaches Poll. Central Oklahoma was selected as the preseason favorite by the coaches. The Bronchos topped the poll with seven first-place votes and 79 points.

Reigning MIAA regular season and tournament champions, Northeastern State was picked second in the poll. The RiverHawks had 74 points and two first-place votes. Southwest Baptist was slotted third with 62 points and one first-place vote. In the fourth place was Washburn with 58 points. Nebraska Kearney rounded out the top-five with 48 points.

Northwest Missouri trailed UNK by just three points to finish sixth. Lindenwood narrowly edged out Missouri Western for seventh place. The Lions had 25 points and the Griffons received 24 points respectively. Emporia State came in ninth place with 20 points and Fort Hays State rounded out the coaches poll with 15 points.
