KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The MIAA announced the standings of the 2018-19 Commissioner’s Cup presented by McCownGordon Construction. The current standings are through the six completed fall sports.
The leader at the conclusion of the fall season is Fort Hays State. The Tigers finished with 65.5 points for an average of 10.9 points. FHSU won a regular season championship in men’s soccer and a regular season co-championship in football.
Central Oklahoma and Pittsburg State were tied for second place at the end of fall with 40.5 points and an average of 10.1 points. For UCO, a women’s soccer crown helped them into the second position. A women’s cross country title in November paced the Gorillas to the second spot.
Nebraska Kearney came in fourth with 49 points for an average of 9.8 points. The Lopers claimed the women’s volleyball championship to vault them into the top five. Central Missouri and Washburn rounded out the top five with 40.5 points and an average of 8.1 points.
Below are the complete standings for the 2018-19 Commissioner’s Cup after the fall season. The standings are based on points earned for each of the sports recognized by the MIAA divided by the number of those sports sponsored by each respective member institution.
