Joplin, Mo. – Central Oklahoma racked up 12 hits as they earned a spot in the MIAA Baseball Tournament Championship as they earned an 8-2 win over Missouri Western.
 
Central Oklahoma struck first in the second inning as Kyle Miskovsky hit a sacrifice fly to center field driving in Anthony Alvarez. In the top of the third Dayne Sommer singled to right field and a run scored on a error following his hit. Alvarez would then double down the right field line to drive in two giving the Bronchos a 4-0 advantage.
 
The Griffons got things going in the bottom of the fourth as back-to-back singles led to Dusty Stroup scoring on a double play. The Bronchos would get that run back as Caleb Peters singled to left field and Alvarez came home to score. Two more runs would cross the plate for UCO in the top of the seventh as they took advantage of an MWSU error.
 
UCO made it an 8-1 lead as Korey Floyd doubled to deep center field forcing Peters home.
 
The Bronchos will face the winner of Missouri Southern and Lindenwood in the championship game at 4 p.m. today from Warren Turner Field in Joplin, Mo.
