Kansas City, Mo. – Central Missouri brought in a 291 on the second day of the MIAA Men’s Golf Championship to move into the lead on the par 72, 7,081 yard Sycamore Ridge Golf Course.
 
Central Oklahoma shot a 292 on the second day and will start the final round just one stroke back of the Mules. Lindenwood had the low score on the day shooting a 288 to vault into third place just four strokes off the lead. Washburn, who led after day one, sits just five strokes off the top mark while Southwest Baptist rounds out the top five.
 
Individually Kevin Kim of Missouri Western was two under par on the day to build a three stroke lead on the field after shooting even par on day one. His teammate Patrick McCarthy is one of four tied at one over par heading into the final round of play. He is joined in the tie for second by Lindenwood’s Yente Van Doren, Central Oklahoma’s Alexander Hughes and Northeastern State’s Tate Williamson.
 
Teams will tee off tomorrow for the final round of the tournament with squads hitting the course at 8:30 a.m.
