Kansas City, Mo. – Fifth seeded Central Oklahoma became the lowest seed to reach the MIAA title game since 2008 as they defeated ninth seeded Lindenwood 84-82 to reach their first MIAA title game.
 
In a wild back and forth game Central Oklahoma got 26 points out of their bench as they shot .563 from beyond the three-point line to earn their first shot at an MIAA title.
 
For the Bronchos Melinda Murillo led the way scoring 18 points while Shatoya Bryson finished with 17 points on the night. Jesheon Cooper had another big night scoring 16 points and pulling down eight rebounds.
 
For the Lions Lindsay Medlen led all scorer with 21 points and also led the team with seven rebounds. Alex Haley added 15 points, Kallie Bildner finished with 11 points and Sara Ross had 10 points.
 
Central Oklahoma will take on third seeded Emporia State in the MIAA Championship Game scheduled for a 3:30 tip tomorrow from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
