Kansas City, Mo. – Third seeded Emporia State erased a five-point lead by second seeded Central Missouri coming out of the half to earn a 58-50 victory and a spot in the championship game.
 
The Lady Hornets did not miss a free throw and outrebounded the Jennies 43-29 on the night.
 
For the Lady Hornets Kathryn Flott led the way with a double-double scoring 20 points and pulling down 10 rebounds while Krystie Miller also pulled down 10 boards. Kelly Moten and Addie Lackey also finished in double-figures scoring 13 points each while Moten dished out a game high four assists.
 
For the Jennies Ashley Duffy led the way scoring 13 points while Kayonna Lee finished with 11 points and six rebounds. Sydney Crockett also finished with six rebounds and Ashley Duffy finished with three steals.
 
ESU will await the winner of the late night semifinal between #5 Central Oklahoma and #9 Lindenwood in a game scheduled to tip off at approximately 3:30 p.m. from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
