Kansas City, Mo. – Top seeded Northwest Missouri held on for a 67-63 win in one of the more exciting games in KC this year, earning a shot at the MIAA Tournament Championship Game.
Zach Schneider hit a three-pointer with four seconds to play putting NWMSU ahead after they trailed by one-point with 23 seconds to play.
For the Bearcats Justin Pitts led the way scoring 24 points, pulling down eight rebounds and dishing out three assists. D’Vante Mosby finished with 14 points while Chris-Ebou Ndow added 12 points in the effort.
For the Lions CJ Carr finished with 21 points and six rebounds while dishing out three assists. JJ Cratit also finished with 21 points and Lawrence Brown pulled down six rebounds.
Northwest Missouri earns a spot in the MIAA Championship game where they will face #2 Central Missouri for a 1 p.m. tip from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
