Kansas City, Mo. (October 24, 2017) - Central Missouri’s Ana Dilkes has been named the MIAA Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week. Her teammate Jada Scott earned the honor on offense and Missouri Western’s Bridget Blessie received the honor on defense.
MIAA Women’s Soccer Athlete of the Week
Jada Scott, F, University of Central Missouri
Scott, a junior from Bel Aire, Kan., etched herself into UCM history past weekend as she became the all-time leader in career points at UCM with 98. Entering the weekend she had 91 career points as a Jennie and tallied seven over the two games to claim the top spot. She scored two goals and notched three assists over the weekend. Against Missouri Southern she scored the game-winning goal against the Lions and assisted on the other. At Southwest Baptist she scored the game-winning goal again and added two assists to lead the Jennies.

MIAA Women’s Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week
Bridget Blessie, , Missouri Western State University
Blessie, a senior from Papillion, Neb., scored two game-winning goals and helped the Griffons hold Washburn and Emporia State without a goal on the road this weekend. The senior scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at Washburn Friday off a corner kick and her penalty kick at Emporia State, Sunday, was the first of three Griffon goals. On the weekend Blessie totaled four points on two goals with six shots, five on goal while helping MWSU limit the two opponents to five total shots on goal.

MIAA Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
Ana Dilkes, GK, University of Central Missouri
Dilkes, a senior from Wichita, Kan., was a wall for the Jennies this weekend as she posted back-to-back shutouts for the seventh time in this season. She grabbed four saves in six shots faced over the weekend to earn career shutouts No. 56 and 57. Her goals against average of .125 is still tops in the MIAA and ranks second in Division II.
